GMB verification process

• Verification is basically done in four ways. Call, Text, Mail, Email.
• Mail is common among these options and most of the time in this process.
• To verify, click on the business name from the GMB home page.

Click on Verify Now under Verification Required. You cannot select these options to your liking. You have to verify the option that Google will give. If there is a call option, the call will come to the mobile and say a pin code. If it is text, a pin code will appear in the message. If you email, a pin code will come in your email. If there is a mail, the letter will come through the post office, there will be a pin code.

If you select Mail, you have to write the name of the person who will receive the letter in your address. Click on the Send Postcard button. Google promised to deliver the letter within 14 days but it is a little late in Bangladesh, usually, it takes 20-25 days. The verification request stays on for up to 30 days. If you can’t verify this, you will have to request again and the new PIN code will come in the same way.

After getting the pin code, go to the listing, click on Enter Verification Code on the right side of the business name and submit with the pin code. Verification complete.

Ownership transfer and user

You can transfer ownership of your business page or hire someone to update and post the page on your business. For this, you have to click on the business name from the home page. Click on Users on the left side. A new pop-up will open. Click on the (+) sign at the top right. Enter the Gmail ID of the person you want to add. Then select the option you need from Choose a role. Then click on Invite. Once the invitation is accepted, the user ad is complete.
